mbb 12 – Vertical Jig

The vertical setting machine mbb 12 (size VS 300) was put into operation on November 10, 2008 at TerraCon GmbH in 20539 Hamburg, Hovestr. 74.
The task is the separation of organic matter from sand trap residues and contaminated soils 0 – 30 mm feed capacity 10 – 20 t/h, with an organic content in the feed of up to 80%, as well as the washing of contaminated soils.
The plant operates with three armored pumps of 80 m³/h each and has a total power consumption of 197 kW during operation including pumps, screens, conveyor belts and sludge dewatering.
The material is fed into the vertical jig by a bucket loader via conveyor belts directly into the vertical jig. The TOC in the minerals, both coarse (vertical jig underflow) and fine (cyclone sand), is reliably < 3%. By switching from cyclone 1 to 2, in variant 2, the fine sand from the cyclone underflow can be separately directed to dewatering screen 2. This significantly improves the drainage properties of the mineral product from dewatering screen 1.
When operating with cyclone 1 and without dewatering screen 2, the compactability of the mineral product is improved.
